"An Irish House Party"
On Sunday, March 16th at 7:30 pm HMT will host "An Irish House Party" with Kevin and Katie McKrell, with special guest Brian Melick.
This festive Irish evening will showcase musical entertainment suitable for all ages, including songs of the Emerald Isle, both old and new, performed with sincerity and humor by the Capital District's first family of Irish music.
Kevin McKrell started his musical career in the late 1980's as lead singer and principle songwriter in the Irish folk band Donnybrook Fair. He continued into the mid 2000's with Celtic bluegrass band The McKrells, and is currently with his new band Celtic folk rockers The Hard Road Céilidh Band. His musical talents have been showcased all over the US and Ireland, and his songs have been recorded and performed by many groups, including Irish American favorites Hair of the Dog and The Kingston Trio. Katie McKrell first took the stage at five years old, and has been writing songs and performing ever since. She is also featured in The Hard Road Céilidh Band on percussion, guitar and vocals.
